Ted Gannon, MS, LAc

Ted Gannon | Qigong and Acupuncture | Physical Therapist Ted Gannon began his health care career as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant back in 1996, which provided him with medical experience in health care settings that included acute care, ICU, cardiac rehab, intensive rehab, orthopaedics and nursing homes. In 2003 he graduated from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and earned a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. He began his acupuncture career as a Primary Care Provider – as the law allows in Florida – in both private practice and in hospital settings. He is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. Ted incorporates his knowledge of Western medicine with Eastern medicine, combining the use of Acupuncture/Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) and Traditional Chinese Medicine toward the desired healing effect.  Ted specializes in treatment for migraines, sciatica, anxiety, PMS, women’s health, supportive cancer care, and breast cancer prevention.

He has extensive training in Qigong, and has earned the titles Certified Qigong Instructor and Qigong Master Healer. Qigong is said to be the precursor of acupuncture and has been practiced for over 5,000 years.

  • "Ted was absolutely incredible!  I started to see Ted to do acupuncture for infertility as an alternative to traditional fertility treatments.  He was very knowledgeable and always did a great job at explaining things in a level I could understand.  I saw him once a week for 10 weeks and I am proud to say that we are expecting our first child in June 2016!  Thank you so much for all you do!  We did it!"  ~Ashley
  • "After one session with Ted my nausea of 5 1/2 years was gone!  I had been living on nausea and pain medications.  Since my session with Ted no medication has been taken!!!  Best I have felt in years.  I have had 22 major surgeries in the past 40 years.  Thought days of feeling good were gone forever.  Not so, thanks to Ted!"  ~Patricia
  • "Four years ago I had an organ transplant which left me in good health except that now I am plagued with neuropathy in both feet, ankles and legs.  This has been ongoing for three years, because of the transplant there are many medications I cannot take, leaving me with very few options for medical treatment.  As a last resort my primary care physician suggested trying acupuncture.  He gave me the name of Ted Gannon who practices through University Hospitals Connor Integrative Health Network.  To date after seven sessions I have had more positive results than ever before.  I have regained feelings in both feet and legs and most importantly it has been a blessing to be able to sleep all night.  I am going to continue the sessions as suggested by Mr. Gannon in hopes that my success will continue."

“Acupuncture is about much more than the placement of a few needles. It is about the transmission of compassion, stimulating the patient's vital energy or Qi, and allowing the patient’s body, mind and spirit to heal itself.”
